I earned a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Florida, which is accredited by the American Psychological Association. I am a member of the American Psychological Association and am honored to serve on the Board of Directors of Division 42 of the American Psychological Association. Clinical Experience
I was trained as a scientist-practitioner and have conducted individual, couples, and group psychotherapy in a variety of settings, including a domestic violence shelter, community mental health center, and university counseling and career centers. I have undergone specialized training in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Career Counseling, Perinatal Mental Health, and Coherence Therapy. I completed my post-doctoral training under the clinical supervision of Jean A. Carter, Ph.D., who is the Treasurer of the American Psychological Association and has over 40 years of clinical experience.
Teaching & Research Experience
I have been a faculty member at Marymount University since 2010; in 2014, I received the "Teacher of the Year" Award from its School of Education and Human Services. I frequently provide trainings for community agencies and train fellow therapists and psychiatry residents.

Community Involvement
I am passionate about women's issues and volunteered with Postpartum Support International from 2016-2017. I served on the Board of Directors of the Asian/Pacific Islander Domestic Violence Resource Project of Washington, DC from 2011-2013.
